In deserted Jomtien, a food vendor explains how hard it is to survive without the tourists.
Jomtien has never been so quiet. The beach has never been so clean. The water has not been so beautiful for years. The road has plenty of place to park. No more buses, no more traffic, and no more pollution.
But no more business as well. Apparently with the Covid-19 restriction, and the lack of tourism, the food vendors are struggling to make a living of once a very profitable job. This vendor explains that sometime the day is so bad that he loses money.
Lot of people are still in Pattaya, hiding or trying to cope with the disaster of a shredded economy, lack of customers and fear of the future.
The girls are waiting, the food vendors are waiting and all these people are ready for when the tourism industry will be back.
