Weather Warning Tropical Storm SON-TINH
“Tropical Storm “SON-TINH””

At 04.00 p.m. the tropical storm “SON-TINH” over the upper South China sea or latitude 19.0 degree North, longitude 115.0 degree East with its maximum sustained wind of 65 km/hr. This storm is moving westward with the speed of 40 km/hr. It is expected to move to the Gulf of Tokin by tomorrow (18 July) and move to upper Vietnam on 19 July. It will have an effect on the upper Thailand with more rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain during 18-21 July. People should beware of severe weather conditions and stay tuned for the weather forecast.
During 17-22 Jul, the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Abundant rain with isolated heavy rain are likely in the Central, the East and the South. The strong wind waves 2-3 meters of waves and above 3 meters in thundershowers areas are forecast for the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore. The coast of the East and the western South should watch for inshore surges.
